Yes, It Will Be Difficult, but We Will Try: Naira Zohrabyan Changes Professions

Former Armenian National Assembly member Naira Zohrabyan, along with her supporters and colleagues, is launching the activities of a civil rights organization called "Security and Democracy." She announced this on her Facebook page.

"Our agenda is vast—human rights, naturally including issues concerning prisoners of war and the missing, political monitoring, democracy and security matters. There will be no political bias or service to someone's political interests. Our constant monitoring will focus on both the authorities and the opposition. There is and will be one agenda and one interest—Armenia's agenda and interest. Yes, it will be difficult to be heard amid the widespread absurdity and falsehood, populism and deception, public deep depression and disappointment. But we will try. We will try because these elections not only failed to resolve the systemic issues of the country but also, under a cosmetic facade, deepened the angle of free fall," she wrote.

According to Zohrabyan, they will try because this calamity must be stopped. She emphasized that the number one question was not resolved by the June 20 elections, as it became clear that neither the authorities nor the opposition had set such a problem for themselves.
