VIDEO: Undercover Footage Captures Drug Deal in Progress

Police in Spitak received operational information regarding a man from the city who was involved in drug trafficking. To uncover the crime, criminal investigators took appropriate measures, and a 60-year-old man was placed under operational supervision.

The operational data was confirmed, and on July 16, the situation culminated. Both the 60-year-old seller and a 67-year-old buyer from Vanadzor were caught during the illegal sale of drugs on Ter-Simonian Street in Spitak.

A personal search revealed a cannabis-like substance in the pockets of the Vanadzor resident. The same substance was also found during the search of the Spitak resident. The discovered items have been sent for examination. Circumstances are being clarified.

Note: The suspect in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court ruling that has entered into legal force, according to the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
