Pashinyan and His Childhood Friend Vahe Ghazaryan Will Go to Tavush for Vardavar
According to the newspaper "Hraparak," it is known that in Tavush, Vardavar is celebrated not according to the church calendar, but on the first Sunday after July 20, which this year falls on July 25.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his childhood friend, Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan, intend to participate in this celebration in their native Tavush this year as well.
Sources from the police reported that a considerable number of police forces have already been instructed to escort Tavush officials in their homeland on that day. This involves nearly a thousand police officers, many of whom will, of course, be in civilian clothing to ensure safety and security.
It is worth recalling that last year, elite residents of Tavush organized a crowded celebration in Tziranium during the peak of the coronavirus season and then continued celebrating on the official day in Yenokavan, a village on Pashinyan's maternal side. Subsequently, there were "discussions" on whether they had organized an official dinner.
We were unable to determine how this year they plan to celebrate.
