Flood Death Toll in China Reaches 51
The death toll from floods in China's central Henan province has reached 51, with 400,000 people displaced to safer areas, reports Armenpress.
As of noon on July 23, water flows have inundated 44,000 hectares of agricultural land. The direct economic damage from the floods has amounted to 65.5 billion yuan (approximately 10.12 billion dollars).
Heavy rains have been occurring in Henan province since July 16, triggering flash floods.
