Abrahamyan: Nothing in the Pashinyan-Putin Phone Call about the Situation at Armenia's Borders
The head of the "Henaket" analytical center, Tigran Abrahamyan, writes: "In the official statement regarding the phone conversation between Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin, there is nothing about the situation created at Armenia's borders. In particular, the recent escalation in the Eraskh direction, incidents in Gegharkunik and Syunik, and primarily the disappearance of two Armenian servicemen and their fate were not mentioned.
Nikol Pashinyan has spoken three times in the past two weeks about the escalation of the situation and growing security threats, which should have been at the center of bilateral discussions. The official statement rather suggests that Armenia continues to withdraw from participating in discussions on key issues related to our country and the region, delegating this either by choice or due to the situation to Russia."
