Marriages Increase in Artsakh
In the first half of 2021, Artsakh registered 715 marriages and 94 divorces. Compared to the same period last year, the number of marriages has increased by 607. This information was reported by Artsakhpress, referencing the Agency for Civil Status Acts Registration and Notaries of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Artsakh.
“Overall, compared to the first half of 2020, the number of birth act registrations decreased by 326, with 987 registrations in the same period last year. The territorial divisions of the agency conducted 6,952 actions, which represents an increase of 4,236 compared to the data from the first half of 2020. A state fee of 5,455,000 AMD was collected for these actions. Compared to the same period last year, the collected state fee has increased by 2,589,000 AMD,” stated Karine Safaryan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice of Artsakh.
According to her, notarial offices in Artsakh performed 9,167 notarial actions for which a state fee of 9,667,000 AMD was collected. “Of the total number of notarial actions performed, 4,302 were conducted by Stepanakert No. 1, 2,276 by Stepanakert No. 2, 1,045 by Askeran, 303 by Martakert, 871 by Martuni, and 368 by the Shushi notarial offices,” she added.
Compared to the first half of 2020, the number of notarial actions has increased by 2,931, while the state fee has decreased by 45,500 AMD. During the reporting period, the Agency for Civil Status Acts Registration and Notaries collected a total of 15,213,000 AMD in state fees for the state budget, with 2,824,300 AMD being added to the off-budget funds.
