Lexus Driver Fired at Opel Driver Over Lack of Right of Way
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia at the Nor Nork police department. According to Shamshyan.com, this criminal case was commenced based on operational information received at the Nor Nork police department on July 19.
Reports were received by the police indicating that at around 11:00 AM that day, 39-year-old Vachagan Avagyan, a resident of Yerevan, was driving his Opel vehicle on David Bek Street when an unidentified individual in a Lexus vehicle allegedly fired shots at the Opel with a gun due to a disregard for the right of way, causing damage to the engine cover.
The Opel was moved to a secure storage area of the Nor Nork police department, and the driver reported to the police that he did not recognize the driver of the Lexus and could not recall the license plate numbers.
Officers from the criminal investigation department of the Nor Nork police, taking necessary operational measures, identified the Lexus license plates and discovered the vehicle on July 21 in the Avan administrative district, transferring it to the secure storage of the Nor Nork police department. According to G. Shamshyan, the license plates of the Lexus are 777 YZ 77, and the suspect is identified as 50-year-old A. K. who resides in the Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan. The police are undertaking necessary measures to locate him.
