Largest U.S. Energy Company Shuts Down Offices in Azerbaijan

Chematon BTC Pipeline, a subsidiary of the largest U.S. energy company Chevron, is closing its offices in Azerbaijan. According to Interfax, Chevron is currently not involved in any projects in Azerbaijan.

It is noteworthy that the company was a stakeholder in the development projects of the Azeri, Chirag fields, the Guneshli (ACG) offshore section, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. In November 2019, Chevron sold its assets to the Hungarian MOL for $1.57 billion.
