Emergency Incident in Armavir Region: 8 People Hospitalized Due to Food Poisoning

On July 21, yet another food poisoning incident occurred in the Armavir region. At approximately 20:25, the emergency service in Myasnikyan village received a report, prompting a call to the Baghramyan police division regarding several citizens being admitted with a diagnosis of 'food poisoning.'

According to shamshyan.com, an operational group from the Baghramyan police division, led by division head Nshan Hakhnazaryan, responded to the medical center. A group from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's regional investigative department also arrived under the leadership of senior investigator Simonian.

The police and investigators clarified that those hospitalized included 57-year-old Rouzanna G. from Baghramyan village, along with 35-year-old Kariye Khachatryan, 57-year-old Gayane Atoyan, and 44-year-old Alvard Harutyunyan, all residents of Myasnikyan village.

Further investigation revealed that on the same day, around 23:50, the emergency doctors on duty in Myasnikyan again transported residents of Dalarik village—59-year-old Hamlet Manukyan, 31-year-old Arsen Manukyan, 25-year-old Shushanna Karapetyan, and another Hamlet Manukyan, with his age currently being verified—to the 'Armavir' medical center, diagnosed once more with 'food poisoning.'

While the doctors provided necessary medical assistance, the police, investigators, and staff from the Armavir regional food safety supervisory body, led by head Mkrtchyan and chief inspector Petrosyan, determined that the affected individuals had been poisoned after consuming kebabs purchased earlier at a food point named 'Araks' in Myasnikyan village during a lunch break around 13:00.
