Ministry of Defense Announces Rules for Participation in New Recruits' Oath Ceremony
Due to the effective implementation of anti-epidemic measures, it has been possible to maintain a stable and controllable epidemic situation in the armed forces over the past year. This was stated in a message disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
Although previous restrictions and bans related to the pandemic have been lifted, a quarantine regime still remains in effect across the Republic, making it crucial to adhere to the regulations aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
Prioritizing the health of servicemen and the maintenance of combat readiness, and taking into account the upcoming oath ceremonies for new recruits in various military units, the following rules have been established to prevent the infiltration and spread of infectious diseases, particularly the coronavirus, during the oath ceremony:
- On the day of the oath ceremony, the relatives of the new recruits must present a negative PCR test certificate issued within the last 72 hours or a vaccination passport confirming vaccination against the coronavirus (QR code) upon entering the military unit.
- During the oath ceremonies, strict adherence to coronavirus prevention rules must be maintained in the military units, particularly by maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, and sanitizing hands, among other measures.
The same rules apply when visiting servicemen in the military units. We urge the families of servicemen and other interested parties to approach these restrictions with understanding. Once again, we emphasize that the primary concern is the health of servicemen and the maintenance of the army's combat readiness.
