Dispute Over Household Matters Leads to Bodily Injury: Police Investigation

On July 20, at 2:25 AM, a report was received by the Martuni police department from a hospital, stating that a resident of the village of Madina was admitted with a "cut-punctured bleeding wound in the left hip area." This was confirmed by the Armenian police.

The operational group of the police determined that around 1:00 AM on the same day, the individual who was taken to the hospital had argued over household matters in the 3rd street of Madina with four other persons, insulting and pulling each other.

Following the argument, those individuals went to the man's house yard, damaged his vehicle, and verbally abused both his mother and wife. When they noticed the man, they physically assaulted him with multiple punches using their hands and feet, and then struck him twice on his thigh and waist with a sharp cutting-piercing instrument, causing bodily harm.

Thanks to the measures taken by the detectives of the Martuni police, it was determined that the bodily injuries to the man were inflicted by a 23-year-old resident of the village of Geghhovit. He and the other three participants of the dispute have been apprehended and provided confessional statements.

Measures are being taken to locate the weapon used in the crime. An investigation is underway.
