US Embassy Issues Statement

The US Embassy's Facebook page has announced that the United States is concerned about incidents occurring along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, particularly the recent events in the Yeraskh/Sadarak area.

"We urge both sides to quickly and peacefully de-escalate tensions and create an environment for substantive negotiations to resume," the statement says.

It is worth noting that for several days, Azerbaijani forces have been firing upon Armenian positions in the villages of the Yeraskh community in the Ararat region, using various calibers of weaponry.
