The Ultimate Goal is to Take Syunik: Vazgen Manukyan

“They will shoot from different places, they will fire in one area, and take over another. Let me not dive into military assumptions,” said Vazgen Manukyan during a conversation with journalists, referring to the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“One thing is clear: for Azerbaijan, the issue of Artsakh was not strategic, but a matter of prestige, whereas the issue of Syunik is a strategic matter not only for Azerbaijan but also for all Turkic-speaking nations in the region. Whatever they might do may seem irrelevant at first glance, but the ultimate goal is to take Syunik,” added the former Prime Minister.
