Son-in-law of witness against Arush Arushanyan given a position recently
According to the newspaper «Hraparak», rumors emerged days ago that the head of the administrative district of Karahunj, Lusine Avetyan, testified against the mayor of Goris, after which these rumors began to be denied. Since Avetyan did not have a lawyer, it was difficult to verify them.
Today, we have received new information that sheds light on the events. It turns out that Lusine Avetyan's son-in-law, David Nersisyan, works in law enforcement, and according to reliable sources, it was through him that they managed to convince Avetyan to give testimony. We do not know the content of Avetyan's testimony, but the fact is that after this testimony, Arush Arushanyan was arrested, and his son-in-law received a position in the prosecutor's office as a 'reward' just a few days prior to that.
The information regarding David Nersisyan's appointment was confirmed by the Office of the Prosecutor General: 'He has been appointed to the prosecutor's office of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan on July 2.' Nersisyan had previously worked at the National Security Service as a regular officer.
Also noteworthy is that a few days ago, one of Arushanyan's lawyers, Armen Melikyan, mentioned in a conversation with journalists regarding the testimony against his client: 'It was an elderly woman who was detained. It's about the head of Karahunj. At first, she denied that Arushanyan had said anything, but days later during the interrogation, in one testimony, she said, 'Yes, Arushanyan said to vote for the “Armenia” alliance.'
Subsequently, the Special Investigative Service issued a statement that the head of the Goris community in the Syunik province, A.A., who occupies the 32nd spot on the electoral list of the “Armenia” alliance, prepared a serious crime to ensure maximum votes for the mentioned alliance and to achieve the desired result in the elections, namely, bribing two or more voters.
