Identified Victim of Last Night's Tragic Car Accident

The tragic accident occurred at 01:15 AM on the 3rd km of the Yeghvard-Nor Geghi highway.

The victim of last night's tragic car accident has been identified as renowned herpetologist Karen Martirosyan. He was known in Armenia for his extensive collection of reptiles, showcased in terrariums at various cultural venues in the capital over the years. Karen Martirosyan was also the senior herpetologist at the Yerevan Zoo.

Earlier, it was reported that on July 20th, a major and tragic car accident took place in the Kotayk region. Around 01:15 AM, 52-year-old Karen Martirosyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his Toyota Land Cruiser Prado on the 3rd km section of the Nor Geghi-Yeghvard road. The vehicle veered off the road to the right, crashed into the concrete fences of an apple orchard, and rolled over several times for about 100 meters before landing upside down in a field.
