I Am Busy: Ararat Governor Responds to Tensions

Yesterday, tensions escalated at the border of the Ararat region's Yeraskh community, where intense gunfire lasted for several hours. As a result, the head of the Yeraskh community, Radik Oghikyan, sustained injuries while he was coordinating efforts to extinguish a fire that broke out due to the actions of Azerbaijani forces.

The publication 'Hraparak' attempted to gather information about the situation from the Yeraskh community administration. The person who answered the phone declined to provide any details, repeating the same standard response: 'I cannot say anything.'

Similarly, Ararat Governor Razmik Tevonyan provided a nearly identical response to the media outlet, justifying his lack of information sharing by stating he was busy. When asked why he was avoiding conveying information to the public, the governor hung up the phone.

It is worth noting that shortly before this, the Ministry of Defense released a statement indicating that, particularly on the evening of July 19 and the night of July 20 until 02:00, Azerbaijani armed forces continued to fire on Armenian positions in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border using small arms, without employing mortars.
