Fire with ‘1 BIS’ Call: Rooftop of Five-Story Building Burns in Yerevan’s Erebuni Street
On July 19, at 18:48, the Crisis Management National Center received a call reporting a fire on the rooftop of a five-story building on Erebuni Street in Yerevan. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
Two fire and rescue teams with fire trucks, a ladder, and a duty group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department were dispatched to the scene. A complexity level of “1 BIS” was declared, prompting three additional fire and rescue teams from the MES Yerevan Rescue Department to also respond.
The rescuers, in collaboration with the police, evacuated 15 residents from the building. The fire was contained by 19:51 and was fully extinguished by 20:17. Approximately 400 square meters of wooden structures on the building’s rooftop were burned.
