The fire ignited in a building undergoing renovation, located close to the Matignon Palace. The newspaper notes that the fire did not spread to the Prime Minister's official residence.

Firefighters arrived at the emergency scene shortly after 10:00 AM local time (12:00 PM Yerevan time). They are urging the public to avoid the area of the fire outbreak.
