Family and Social Benefits Can Now Be Received Cashless

Starting from July 1, 2021, citizens registered in the family poverty assessment system will have the opportunity to receive family and social benefits, as well as emergency assistance, both in cash and cashless, at their discretion.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports that to receive benefits or emergency assistance in a cashless manner, one of the adult family members must apply to the territorial center serving their place of residence of the Unified Social Service, submitting a written application and choosing a bank that has contracted with the Service.

The application submitted by the citizen must be signed by all adult family members, and the account must be opened in the name of the applicant.

Moreover, the citizen has the right to apply to the territorial center at any time to change the method of receiving benefits or emergency assistance, or to switch banks.
