Erdogan's Statement on the Cyprus Issue

Turkey does not have another 50 years to waste on the Cyprus issue. This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as reported by Kathimerini.

The leader of the Turkish Cypriots, Ersin Tatar, has announced plans for the opening of a section in the city of Famagusta in northern Cyprus, which is under Turkish occupation. According to Tatar, the military status of this section is planned to be revoked.

Erdogan, in his speech, threatened the 'enemies of Turkish Cypriots,' including Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He reiterated his call for solutions to the issues based on a two-state framework, sharply criticizing the European Union, which has rejected this idea.
