Cartographer Strikes Police Officer and Tears Off Uniform Epaulet: Details from Recent Incident

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the Central Police Department regarding an incident that occurred yesterday, on July 19, in Yerevan. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, on that day, around 18:20, officers from the 2nd platoon of the 1st company of the Patrol Service of the Republic of Armenia detained 57-year-old G. Beglaryan on suspicion of using violence against authority.

It has been clarified that at the mentioned intersection, G. Beglaryan argued with the patrollers, then struck 23-year-old patrol officer H. Alumyani and tore off his uniform epaulet.

According to G. Shamshyan, G. Beglaryan has been released. He works as a cartographer at one of the LLCs operating in Yerevan.
