At This Stage, Azerbaijan Will Not Engage in Large-Scale Military Operations: Abrahamyan
Currently, I am not inclined to think that this could escalate into large-scale military operations. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the "Henaket" analytical center and a member of the "Honorary" alliance, during a press conference.
"I believe that at this stage, at least in the short term, Azerbaijan will not engage in large-scale military operations. This does not exclude local clashes, but carries a considerable level of risk. We must understand that there is an issue of scale, and the risk of large-scale conflict in this situation is not clearly outlined for me, at least in the short term," the expert noted.
In response to the comment that Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently stated that Azerbaijan is preparing to unleash war against Armenia and Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan pointed out that there is a significant contradiction in this situation. "On one hand, there is the statement made by Nikol Pashinyan, which in any other circumstances would imply extensive work carried out by the state. If you say that there is a possibility of clashes, this implies preparatory works to transition the country from peace to a military stance. We have seen situations where harsh statements from Armenia and statements about preparations for war from Azerbaijan have turned into actions," Tigran Abrahamyan stated.
