Arman Tatoyan in Yeraskh
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, is currently in Yeraskh (Ararat region) leading a fact-finding team.
The Human Rights Defender specifically notes that the gunfire from Azerbaijan near Yeraskh is criminal in nature and poses a serious threat to the life and health of the civilian population, as well as other vital rights. These actions violate the tranquility and peaceful life of civilian residents.
The criminal nature of the gunfire is evident in other sections of the Armenian border, amidst the provocative gunfire from the Azerbaijani armed forces near residential areas. Furthermore, it is substantiated by the fact that on July 14, an Armenian serviceman was killed as a result of the recurring gunfire from Azerbaijan in the Yeraskh area.
The results of the visit will be summarized, documenting the violations of the rights of the border residents of Armenia. Detailed information will be presented in a separate report to international organizations (UN, ECHR, EU, etc.), as well as to the relevant state bodies of Armenia.
