An Absurd Situation: Arman Abovyan
Arman Abovyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party posted on Facebook: “In Yeraskh, Turkish-Azerbaijani armed groups are already using mortars and grenade launchers.
In the village of Kut in Gegharkunik Province, shots have been fired from heavy weapons for about 4 hours.
According to the Ministry of Defense’s statement, the situation remained tense late into the night until July 19. Let me remind you that Yeraskh is only 50-60 kilometers away from Yerevan.
And it takes just 15-20 minutes from Yeraskh to Tigranashen. Considering all this, I have one question for all those traitorous bastards who openly declared that ‘we'll give up Artsakh and there will be peace,’ or for the degenerate Turks generating anti-Artsakh (Karabakh/Yerevan) sentiments: how are you now?
Although they are so ignorant that they won’t understand anything until the Turk barges into their bedroom with a yatagan.
But now, seriously. The war hasn’t ended and won’t end until we understand one basic truth: the Turkish-Azerbaijani bloc has no aim to establish stability in the region in peace with Armenians.
If they had this purpose, there would have been no 44-day war over Artsakh, nor would hatred towards Armenians be a state ideology in their countries.
After all, this primitive situation is so obvious that only people completely disconnected from reality could fail to understand it.
Such military clashes will continue because neither the Turks nor the Azerbaijanis have achieved their primary goal of partitioning Armenia, calling it beautiful ‘imperial’ phrases such as ‘delimitation and demarcation’ or ‘providing a corridor.’
Despite that, even then the war will not be over, so cut your hopes.
The only deterrent mechanism of the war has always been the possibility of a strong retaliatory strike from the Armenian side, which our excessively peace-loving government has deprived us of.
Now what are we going to do, huh...
P.S. Thank God that our side has at least been given the permission to return fire.
It’s an absurd situation.”
