Due to the influx of tropical warm air currents from the Sahara Desert, air temperatures across the Republic will gradually rise by 8-10 degrees on July 19-20. In the Ararat Plain and its foothills, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valley regions of Syunik, and Yerevan, temperatures are expected to reach +40 to +42 degrees Celsius during the day on July 19-21. A high fire hazard situation is also anticipated in these areas.
Across the country, isolated regions can expect rain and thunderstorms after noon on July 22-23, with hail also possible in certain areas. July 19-21 is expected to be dry with no precipitation. Winds will be south-western at 5-10 m/s, with gusts expected to reach 18-23 m/s during thunderstorms.
In Yerevan, no precipitation is expected from July 19-23.
