Brother of Khachatur Sukiasyan is at the Police Station Regarding Amiryan Shootings: Spokesperson
The spokesperson of "Sil Group", Anna Mkrtchyan, addressed the gunfire incident that occurred yesterday on Amiryan Street in Yerevan on her Facebook page, stating that the brother of businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, Robert Sukiasyan, was also involved in the incident.
“In response to media inquiries regarding the incident that took place yesterday in Yerevan, I would like to inform you that as of 5:00 PM, Robert Sukiasyan, accompanied by lawyer Gor Mikayelyan, is at the Armenian police station. More details will be provided later by lawyer Mikayelyan,” she wrote.
It is noteworthy that Robert Sukiasyan's brother, Khachatur Sukiasyan, also commented on the incident today in a Facebook post. “The unpleasant and unacceptable incident that occurred in the center of Yerevan yesterday is intolerable to me. Such behavior of resolving relationships is condemnable. What actually happened will be better elucidated by representatives of the Armenian law enforcement agencies after conducting an objective and multifaceted investigation. I declare that irrespective of who a person is, everyone in the Republic of Armenia is equal before the law, regardless of social and political status,” he wrote.
Recall that gunfire was reported yesterday on Amiryan Street in Yerevan. According to circulating media reports, Robert Sukiasyan, the brother of Khachatur Sukiasyan, was also among those involved in the incident.
