Pashinyan Meets Entrepreneur Melik Manukyan, Visits 'Saranist' Company
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, visited the 'Saranist' company in Kotayk Province, which specializes in glass production and recently began operating a brandy production facility.
During the tour, company owner Melik Manukyan presented the processes and development plans for both glass and brandy production. It was noted that the company currently has 4 glass production workshops with separate furnaces, allowing the simultaneous production of glass in various colors and purposes, thus meeting market demand. The company is equipped with modern technologies and equipment and currently employs about 700 people, operating on 7 production lines.
Since 2005, 'Saranist' has begun producing containers for wine, brandy, beer, mineral water, and juices. Nearly half of the company's products are exported to Georgia. Regarding brandy production, Melik Manukyan mentioned that they will primarily produce brandy aged 7-10 years, most of which will be exported. The company plans to harvest 1,500 tons of grapes this year, and they are currently in the process of signing relevant contracts with grape growers.
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the initiative to expand the company's activities, implement new investment programs, and create new jobs, adding that the government is ready to assist in the effective implementation of such projects within its framework.
