New Details on the Scandalous Incident Involving Current and Former Governors' Sons in Goris

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, new details have emerged regarding the scandalous attempted murder, hooliganism, and gunfire incident that took place in Goris on July 13. It is known that around 11:00 PM that day, residents of Goris — 33-year-old Karen Poghosyan, 41-year-old Gagik Poghosyan, their friends from Goris including 43-year-old Harout Vardanyan, 34-year-old Armen Aghajanyan, 34-year-old Erik Zadayan from Verin Shen village, and 33-year-old Armen Hovsepyan, along with 31-year-old Harout Lalazaryan and 27-year-old Mher Sahakyan — had a confrontation at the intersection of Getapunya and Garegin Nzhdeh streets with 27-year-old Tigran Khachatryan, a resident of Goris, and other locals who had come to the scene: 69-year-old Hrachik Tunyan, 44-year-old Norair Mnatsakanyan, and Melik Barseghyan, along with his 18-year-old son Musheg Barseghyan. The situation escalated into a brawl.

During the incident, K. Poghosyan retrieved an illegal firearm from his Toyota Camry and fired shots indiscriminately, injuring H. Vardanyan and M. Barseghyan. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, K. Poghosyan transported the injured H. Vardanyan to the Goris hospital in his vehicle, while the other injured individual was taken to the hospital by N. Mnatsakanyan. The police and the investigative division are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to identify the other participants of the incident and recover the illegal firearm used in the crime.

As per G. Shamshyan's information, K. Poghosyan, who participated in the incident, is the son of the current governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan, while T. Khachatryan is the son of the former governor of Syunik, Surik Khachatryan.
