Authorities Arresting Syunik Community Leaders Due to Their Insecurity Complex: Kocharian

Former President of Armenia and leader of the Armenia Alliance, Robert Kocharian, wrote on his Facebook page:

“It has been quite some time since the Azerbaijani president's latest statement containing threats against Armenia, and the public was expecting a proportional response from the state. This is what the interests of the state demand. Unfortunately, this did not happen once again.

In international relations, cowardice and ambiguity are not respected. Threats directed at Armenia and the Armenian people demand a firm and clear response. Armenia must demonstrate sufficient will to defend its territorial integrity and the dignity of its people.

It is regrettable to note, but as long as Armenia is governed by a leader who has lost a war, this humiliating picture will continue. Moreover, at the same time, the authorities, due to their insecurity complex, are arresting the community leaders of Syunik. They are imprisoning those who defended the safety of the region's residents with weapons in hand.”
