‘Giving an Allowance to a Deputy is Considered Immorality’ - Naira Zohrabyan

“In a weakened, fragmented economy and with a torn Armenia and Artsakh, we have so many pressing issues that giving a deputy an allowance and increasing parliamentary expenses is considered immorality,” stated Deputy Naira Zohrabyan during a briefing with journalists, referring to the initiative from members of the My Step faction.

“Yes, at some point, when the economy stabilizes and numerous issues have been resolved, we should address the salaries of high-ranking officials, but today this should be our 150th issue, not a priority... They are trying to resolve the issue of the allowances for the next National Assembly deputies with our hands,” she added.
