Georgia Plans to Restrict Leisure Activities as Pandemic Situation Worsens

The pandemic situation in Georgia is worsening, as stated by the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamara Gabunian, highlighting that the virus is spreading rapidly and that this rate will increase even further if active measures are not taken.

In this context, the official refers to vaccinations and personal protective measures, as reported by aliq.ge.

“It’s summer, resorts have opened, and leisure activities are taking place where people participate without masks and without maintaining distance, which complicates the pandemic situation and forces us to consider limiting leisure activities,” said Gabunian.

As of July 15, at 11:00 AM, Georgia has registered 1,398 new cases of coronavirus, with 11 patients reported dead, bringing the total fatalities to 5,503.
