Azerbaijan Has Introduced Forged Maps: Pashinyan
Azerbaijan is trying to portray that Armenia is against and obstructing the delimitation and demarcation work. This was stated by the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during a government meeting.
"The reality is exactly the opposite. Azerbaijan is opposed to delimitation and demarcation works because it has introduced evidently forged maps, attempting to justify the presence of its armed forces in several areas of sovereign Armenian territory, particularly in several locations along the Sotk-Khoznavar section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," said Pashinyan.
According to him, both the international community and Armenia have clearly expressed their position on this issue. "The withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from these territories, mirrored redeployment of the armed forces of both Armenia and Azerbaijan to permanent locations, deployment of Russian border guards or international observers along the border, and preparation and commencement of delimitation and demarcation works under international auspices—our proposal remains in effect, and we are working in this direction with our partners, particularly our Russian colleagues. Azerbaijan has not responded in any way to this statement and proposal," said Pashinyan.
