There is a need for political appointments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Avinyan

Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan has a positive view of the appointment of former Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

“In fact, there is a need for political appointments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and for creating certain connections between the diplomatic corps and the political leadership to eliminate the disagreements that have existed to some extent,” Avinyan said.

In response to reporters' questions about whether Grigoryan will be appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the upcoming government, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister stated that answers to all questions will become clear over time.

He did not answer the question of who is being considered for the position of Secretary of the Security Council, only mentioning that discussions are currently ongoing.
