I Look Forward to Hosting You in Armenia Soon on a State Visit: Pashinyan Congratulates Macron
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the National Day of France.
In the congratulatory message, he notably stated: “Your Excellency Mr. President, dear Emmanuel, on behalf of the Armenian people and myself, I warmly congratulate you and the friendly French people on the occasion of France's National Day.
More than two centuries ago, the French people united around the values of freedom, equality, and fraternity, paving the way for a future based on human rights and democratic values for European civilization. Today, Armenia, demonstrating its commitment to these same immutable values, is decisively moving forward on the path of strengthening democratic institutions and the rule of law.
It is undeniable that the bilateral relations between Armenia and France are based on shared values and centuries-old friendship. The exceptional political dialogue between the two states allows for successful cooperation on numerous programs and issues of mutual interest.
In the context of the tragic events of the past year, Armenia expresses its heartfelt gratitude to brotherly France for its impartial stance and support for the peaceful population of Armenia and Artsakh. France and the French people have once again stood by our side during this difficult historic period.
Armenia greatly values France's strong involvement in the peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the format of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group. We highly appreciate France's efforts regarding the return of Armenian prisoners of war and the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh.
I look forward to hosting you in Armenia soon on a state visit.
Your Excellency Mr. President, on this festive day symbolizing France's unity and heroic history, I wish you good health, unyielding will, and victories in all your initiatives, and I wish peace and prosperity to the French people.”
