Araik Harutyunyan Introduces Newly Appointed Deputy Minister Armen Grigoryan to Foreign Ministry Staff

Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Araik Harutyunyan has introduced Armen Grigoryan, the newly appointed first deputy minister, to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Ghahondyan for his work: “I want to thank Mr. Ghahondyan for the work he has done over these months. It was a very important and difficult phase. Few were willing to take on this responsibility. You were one of them, Mr. Ghahondyan.”

The Chief of Staff congratulated Armen Grigoryan on assuming the important position. “Due to the events of last year, the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in our internal and external affairs is very significant. I am confident that you will honorably fulfill your obligations and address the issues posed by the public during the elections on June 20, and which the government is placing before you,” said Araik Harutyunyan.

Armen Ghahondyan noted that the work accomplished has been systematic, with all subdivisions and departments working together, and that it is only through joint effort that results can be achieved.

Welcoming those present, Armen Grigoryan stated, “We can say that we have some working experience with certain individuals, and we have accomplished specific tasks during this period. The Security Council has not been disconnected from the process of shaping foreign policy, and I want to thank everyone for our joint work. Of course, starting today, we will work even more intensively. I am confident that we will put all our efforts into fulfilling the mandate that the citizens have given to the 'Civil Contract' party. All the guidelines mentioned in the 'Civil Contract' party’s election program, which will also be reflected in the Government's program, we will realize together. It will be a very heavy and challenging, yet responsible and honorable phase. I am convinced that we will work together and achieve results.”
