Silence of the National Assembly's Permanent Committee on Foreign Relations Mirrors That of Fish
According to the "Joghourt" newspaper, "While 46 ambassadors accredited in Azerbaijan visited Shushi from July 9-10, there is no Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Armenia, nor even a spokesperson to respond to these events. It is noteworthy that the ambassadors from the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, namely the United States, France, and Russia, did not visit Shushi. In contrast, the ambassadors who did visit included those from three member states of the CSTO: Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Belarus, as well as representatives from Austria, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Algeria, Palestine, and Georgia, and the visit was of a familiarization nature. Interestingly, the British ambassador to Azerbaijan also refused to visit Shushi. However, the greatest anger arose among the Azerbaijanis due to the refusal of the three ambassadors from the OSCE Minsk Group. Azerbaijan's former foreign minister has suggested punishing these diplomats and not inviting them to any other events until they visit Shushi. Furthermore, he proposed a formal abandonment of the OSCE Minsk Group format altogether. In other words, diplomats from countries that have refused to fulfill the whims of Azerbaijanis are now being discussed about punishing them in that country. Meanwhile, for two days now, there has effectively been no Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Armenia, and there is no official note of protest directed at the representatives of the countries that visited Shushi. The National Assembly's Permanent Committee on Foreign Relations is equally silent, reflecting a state of lawlessness."
