Data Released in Azerbaijan That Official Baku Attempts to Conceal

The State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation, affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan, continues its work on determining disability and establishing groups, as reported by haqqin.az.

In the first six months of this year, the Agency has granted disability status to a total of 21,525 individuals. Out of these, 7,018 have been granted status for the first time, while 14,507 received it for the second time. The number of awards is 68% higher than in the same period in 2020.

Social benefits are provided for individuals with disabilities. Essentially, the Azerbaijani authorities have released data that they would prefer to keep hidden from the public. It turns out that among the 7,018 people who received disability status in the last six months, participants of the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh account for a significant portion.
