Brother of Masis Mayor Arrested for Promoting Prostitution

The brother of Masis Mayor Davit Hambarzumyan, Gor Hambarzumyan, has been arrested. This information was confirmed in an interview with 24News by Vardan Tadevosyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Tadevosyan reported that Hambarzumyan has been charged under the second part of Article 262 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to promoting prostitution.

It is noteworthy that Gor Hambarzumyan is also accused in another criminal case. He has been charged with mass disturbances and hooliganism. Specifically, during the regime change in 2018, he was reported to have verbally abused citizens blocking the road at the Koryun-Herazi intersection and attempted to forcibly remove them from the street by hitting them.
