Be More Vigilant and Alert, Another Opposition is Entering the National Assembly: Pashinyan to 'My Step' Group

The newspaper 'Jamanak' reports that the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly had a meeting over the weekend with acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to our sources, Pashinyan decided to personally present the new candidates for the parliament's speaker, deputy speakers, the faction leader, and the secretary to his team.

Our sources from the ruling party indicate that the faction has somewhat accepted the decision of the Civil Contract party members, as they did not even wait for the faction's agreement and simply presented the decisions made.

A significant portion of the My Step group was not particularly in favor of the candidacies for deputy speakers Ruben Rubinyan and Hakob Arshakyan, but since they were unable to influence the decision in any way, they silently agreed.

Pashinyan told his team that this time the parliament must be more vigilant and alert since another opposition is entering the legislative body. He urged lawmakers to stay alert and start working.

Moreover, yesterday, MPs from the faction received phone calls inquiring about who is in the city and whether they can ensure 67 votes for calling an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on July 14 or 15. The day is not finalized yet, but the agenda is primarily expected to include items for the second reading.
