Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Statement
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding the visit of diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan to the occupied territories of Artsakh:
“We strongly condemn the organization of a visit by employees of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan to the occupied territories of the Republic of Artsakh, including the city of Shushi, on July 10, 2021, by the Azerbaijani authorities. With such actions, Azerbaijan is attempting to consolidate the results of the aggressive war unleashed against the Republic of Artsakh on September 27, 2020, with the support of Turkey and members of international terrorist and extremist organizations. We once again emphasize that the current situation is the result of Azerbaijan's illegal actions. Azerbaijan has grossly violated fundamental principles of international law, such as the non-use of force or the threat of force, peaceful resolution of disputes, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, the equality of peoples and their right to self-determination, as well as the diligent fulfillment of international obligations.
We call on the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group to take steps aimed at resuming the negotiation process for the final settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.”
