What Requirements Are Presented When Entering the Territory of Armenia

The Ministry of Health of Armenia presents the requirements for entering the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Accordingly:

  • Either a negative result of a PCR test for COVID-19 conducted no more than 72 hours prior, or a certificate confirming full vaccination against COVID-19 in accordance with the prescribed doses of the respective vaccine. For a single-dose vaccine, at least 28 days (4 weeks) must have passed since the inoculation, and for multi-dose vaccines, the last dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior.
  • No negative test or vaccination certificate is required for children under 1 year old (0 to 11 months 29 days).
  • If a certificate is not available, the individual is subject to sampling for a PCR test at the airport or at the land border crossing points and must self-isolate until a negative result is obtained. The results of the PCR tests are registered in the ARMED system and provided to the tested individual within no later than 48 hours. In the case of a negative PCR test result, the individual is released from self-isolation.
  • The PCR test certificate may be in Armenian, Russian, or English and must include all contact details of the medical assistance and service organization that conducted the test, the name of the head, the tested individual's name and surname, the identification document number, date of birth (day, month, year), test result, and sampling date and time, signed by the head of the organization and stamped with the organization’s seal.
  • The vaccination certificate may also be in Armenian, Russian, or English and must include the name of the head of the organizing body that conducted the vaccination, detailing the vaccinated person's name and surname, identification document number, date of birth (day, month, year), the production name of the vaccine, series number, the dates of each dose administration (day, month, year), signed by the head of the organization and stamped with the organization’s seal, or contain a barcode (QR code) to verify the requirements of the vaccination certificate.
  • Certificates that are approved by the competent authority of the Republic of Armenia on the basis of reciprocity may also be presented. The vaccination certificate can also be presented via a mobile application or as a printed version generated from the mobile application.
