Armenia Alliance Ready to Take Even the Most Extreme Measures

The Armenia alliance is prepared to take even the most extreme measures to save the state from destruction. This statement was made today during a press conference by one of the alliance leaders, Ishkhan Saghatelyan.

“After the Constitutional Court's decision, we will decide whether to take the mandates or not. Even if we take them and feel that our struggle is yielding no results in parliament, this is my personal opinion, we will tear up those mandates and go out into the streets. Whether in the streets or in parliament, we will continue to be a radical opposition,” said Saghatelyan.

The representatives of the Armenia alliance have labeled the arrests and criminal cases against the mayors of Syunik as political terror. “You know that the former mayor of Meghri, Mkhitar Zakaryan, and the mayor of Kajaran, Manvel Paramazyan, have been arrested, and criminal cases have been initiated against Arush Arushanyan and Arthur Sargasyan. The question arises: why after the elections and why specifically in Syunik, where all these mayors participated in the protection of Syunik during the war?” noted Vahé Hakobyan, one of the alliance leaders.

He added that all mayors of Syunik who support the current authorities have received funds from the Syunik regional administration in the form of social assistance and bonuses.
