What Positions Has Argishti Kyaramyan Held in Recent Years
It has just been officially announced that the Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, will be appointed as the new Head of the Investigative Committee, replacing Haik Grigoryan. The matters are included in the agenda of today’s extraordinary government meeting. Below, we present the biography of the 30-year-old Kyaramyan.
Born on May 22, 1991, in the village of Yeranos, Gegharkunik Province.
From 2009 to 2011, he served in the Armenian armed forces.
In 2013, he graduated from Yerevan State University’s Faculty of Law, receiving a Bachelor's degree in law.
In 2015, he completed a training course for candidates for prosecutors at the Academy of Justice of Armenia.
In 2016, he graduated from the Master’s program at the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University, obtaining a Master’s degree in law.
From 2013 to 2014, he served in the Armenian Police, then worked in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia as an investigator.
From June 1, 2016, to June 6, 2018, he worked at the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia as a prosecutor for Shirak Province and then for the Prosecutor's Office of Yerevan.
From June 8, 2018, to February 26, 2019, he worked in the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, holding the positions of Head of the Department for Identifying Violations and Conducting Administrative Proceedings, Deputy Head of the Investigation Department, and Deputy Head of the Operational-Intelligence Department.
From March 1, 2019, to May 4, 2020, he worked in the Service for the Assessment of State Supervision of Armenia as an Assistant to the Head, Deputy Head, and Acting Head of the Service.
On May 4, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia by the Prime Minister’s decision.
On May 5, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the National Security Service of Armenia by the Presidential decree.
On June 8, 2020, he was designated as the Director of the National Security Service of Armenia by the Presidential decree.
On December 24, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
He is married and has three children.
