Major Car Accident in Syunik Province: 30-Year-Old Driver Rolls Over Multiple Times in Chevrolet Niva, Ends Up in Field

Today, on July 12, a major car accident occurred in Syunik Province. At approximately 3:50 PM, 30-year-old Arthur Tunanyan, a resident of Syunik, lost control of his Chevrolet Niva while driving on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at the 223rd km mark under yet unknown circumstances. The vehicle went off the road and rolled over multiple times, eventually landing in the field on the right side of the road.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, A. Tunanyan and passengers, residents of Syunik Province, 21-year-old A. Grigoryan and 4-month-old Vardan T., were taken to the Goris Medical Center with bodily injuries. The emergency situation was promptly addressed by the Goris Fire and Rescue Unit No. 55 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which dispatched one firefighting team to the scene.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power supply, closed the gas cylinder valve, and secured the area. The on-duty medical team from Goris Hospital also acted swiftly.
