Long Lines for COVID-19 Vaccination on Northern Avenue: Thousands Arriving from Iran and India
Northern Avenue has turned into a massive polyclinic, where a huge, endless line has formed for COVID-19 vaccinations. Thousands of people arriving from Iran and India are waiting in line for their vaccinations. It seems quite positive that Armenia is the most humanitarian country in the world, ready to take on the vaccination mission for nearly 80 million citizens of Iran and 1.3 billion citizens of India. However, two important questions are directed to the acting Prime Minister, the Minister of Health, and their government.
1. Why have we been taking on the vaccination mission for citizens of other countries for an extended period? It appears that our economic situation allows us to take care of the health of citizens from other countries as well. Whose brilliant idea was this decision?
2. Why specifically Northern Avenue? Why is the vaccination of foreigners being conducted right in the center of Yerevan? Why not in another location, not even in another city? What is the attractive force of this avenue that you bring guests here to boast, spend evenings in the cafés on the avenue, and simultaneously turn it into the number one polyclinic of the republic? It is now clear what kind of attitude there has been toward key issues during the war. Did you organize the defense of Artsakh in the same way? Did you manage the war in the same manner? How do you plan to carry out the demarcation of our country and conduct negotiations?
In the end, one cannot be so disorganized, chaotic, and irresponsible in all matters.
