Consumers in Berd City to Receive Stable Round-the-Clock Water Supply
The consumers of Berd city in the Tavush region will be provided with a stable round-the-clock water supply upon the completion of the project implemented by Veolia Water, the company reports.
For the reconstruction of the Berd water purification station / WPS /, the company has allocated 30 million drams. Over the past month, significant work has been done to renovate all 3 river water intakes supplying the WPS, hydromechanical isolation of the station's rapid action filters, and the renovation of 2 defective well casings in the system.
This engineering structure has not been renovated since the 1970s, leading to water losses of up to 15 liters per second, which is particularly significant during the summer.
