Brawl Among Teens on Vardavar Day Ends in Stabbing

On July 11, at 3:15 PM, a citizen called the police operational management center, reporting that there was a dispute among children playing water games and that his child had been stabbed. Officers from the Shengavit district police and the patrol service of the Yerevan unit were dispatched to the scene.

At 5:10 PM, the hospital reported that an ambulance had transported a 13-year-old boy with facial injuries and an arm injury, as well as a 16-year-old boy with a stab wound in the abdominal area. The 16-year-old's parent reported that his son had been stabbed, while the 13-year-old's parent claimed he had been beaten.

Thanks to the police's actions, it became clear that on 14th Street in Nor Kharberd, during a dispute, the 13-year-old boy had stabbed the 16-year-old in the waist area, causing injury. After explanatory work, the 13-year-old went to the Shengavit police station, handed over the knife, and provided a confessing explanation. A forensic examination has been ordered, and materials are being prepared.
