Entry to Armenia Allowed with Vaccination or Negative PCR Test Result
As of today, a decision made by the government on July 9 has come into effect, altering the decree N 1514-N regarding the quarantine imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Quarantine was established in Armenia on September 11, 2020, and was extended until January 11. The term was further prolonged until July 11. With the new amendments adopted by the government, the quarantine period has been extended for an additional six months, until December 20, 2021.
The Ministry of Health informed Auroranews that entry to Armenia is allowed for those who are vaccinated (with one or two doses) or have a negative PCR test result. Being vaccinated means having received all components, namely two doses. Currently, no other changes are planned regarding entry into Armenia.
Instead of a PCR test certificate, individuals must present a certificate confirming they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the dosage specified in the instructions for the vaccine used. For a single-dose vaccine, the certificate must confirm that the vaccination occurred at least 28 days (4 weeks) prior. For vaccines requiring multiple doses, the certificate must confirm that the last dose was administered at least 14 days before.
The vaccination certificate can be in Armenian, Russian, or English and must include the name of the leader of the organization that conducted the vaccination, along with the name and surname of the vaccinated person, the identification number of the identity document, the birth date (day, month, year), the trade name of the vaccine, the batch number, and the dates of each vaccination (day, month, year) signed by the head of the organization and stamped with the organization’s seal or contain a barcode (QR code) to verify compliance with the certification requirements. Additionally, the vaccination certificate can be presented via a mobile application or in a printed version generated from the application.
Moreover, the government’s decision from July 9 lifts the bans on visits to military units of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the prohibitions on discharges and leaves for conscripts and junior officers.
