Video: The issue of minefield maps for Baku remains unresolved; Russia advocates for resolution without preconditions

The issue of transferring minefield maps has not yet been definitively resolved. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing held on July 9.

According to Zakharova, the transfer of minefield maps to Baku is an "absolute priority," and Russia advocates for the resolution of the issue without any preconditions.

Maria Zakharova noted that since December 2020, a total of 97 prisoners of war have been returned through Russian mediation, of which 81 were returned to Armenia and 16 to Azerbaijan.

It is noteworthy that on June 12, in exchange for 15 Armenian prisoners of war, the Armenian side handed over the minefield maps of the Aghdam region to Azerbaijan. On July 3, in exchange for another 15 Armenian prisoners of war, Armenia transferred the maps of the Fizuli and Zangelan regions to Baku.
