Resignation Submitted by Meghri Community Leader Mkhitar Zakaryan

According to our information, Mkhitar Zakaryan, the head of the Meghri community, has submitted a resignation letter. In a conversation with Aravot.am, Zakaryan stated that there is a suitcase-like atmosphere in the community administration.

“Since I will probably take up the mandate of a Member of Parliament on the 26th, I decided to resign and allow a new team to work, so we don’t waste the upcoming days,” said Mkhitar Zakaryan. He denied that there had been any pressure on him, stating, “No one can pressure me; I did this of my own free will,” said the head of Meghri community.

It is worth mentioning that Mkhitar Zakaryan is number 17 on the “Armenia” alliance list. At the same time, materials are being prepared against him, as well as other community leaders in the Syunik region, in the police department.
